Brompton Cemetery, which opened in 1840, is one of the so-called Magnificent Seven Cemeteries of London. It contains over 206,000 burials and is listed Grade I in the Historic England’s Register of Parks and Gardens. It is also a Conservation Area and a designated site of nature conservation interest. It contains what is probably the country’s finest architectural funerary complex and uniquely it is a nationalised cemetery and run by the Royal Parks. Meet at the North Lodge, Brompton Cemetery (Old Brompton Road entrance).
