Members Event - Book Club

  • Duke of Cambridge 228 Battersea Bridge Road London, England, SW11 3AA United Kingdom (map)

Jenny Thomas from the Battersea Society Events Committee will be hosting the Book Club meeting - and the book up for discussion will be …

Hoodwink! by Susan Ekins.  Fact:  On Easter Saturday, 1144, the body of a twelve-year old boy called William, a tanner’s apprentice, was found murdered in a wood outside Norwich.  Thanks to the writings of a Benedictine monk nearly thirty years later about the Life and Passion of Saint William, Norwich Cathedral became a shrine and place of religious influence.  But who did murder the little boy?  No-one knows. Could Hoodwink! provide the answer?

Please let us know if you would like to join us, just so we have some idea of numbers. You can email bookclub@batterseasociety.org.uk

The next Book Club meeting will be held on Thursday 19 June at 11am.
