Shapurji Saklatvala 1874-1936 MP for Battersea in 1922 and again 1924-1929. Saklatvala was the first Indian Parsi Labour MP and was anti- imperialist, anti-capitalist, a campaigner for Indian and Irish Independence, internationalist, a campaigner for workers’ rights and a hugely popular orator.
