No 84 Lavender Sweep contains the fanlight from the original house which was visited by eminent Victorians on their Sunday soirées including Dickens, Tennyson, Ellen Terry, Clara Schumann, Jeanie Senior and Lewis Carroll who photographed the house.
Tom Taylor was editor of Punch magazine and wrote Our American Cousin which was the play Abraham Lincoln was watching when he was assassinated. He was an amateur actor who co-founded, with Fred Ponsonby, the Old Stagers - the longest running amateur theatre group in the world.
There will be music composed by Laura Barker and readings.
No 84 Lavender Sweep is owned by the Wandle Housing Association.
