Members Event - Private Tour round Turner’s House

  • Sandycombe Lodge 40 Sandycoombe Road Twickenham, England, TW1 2LR United Kingdom (map)

Turner’s House is the only surviving building designed and lived in by the great landscape painter J.M.W. Turner. The house is an elegant Regency period property - restored to its original appearance - and provided him with a quiet retreat away from the pressures of the London art world. It also provided a home for his father, old William, in retirement from his trade as a barber and wigmaker in Covent Garden.  Toward the end of his life Turner stated that if he could live it again he would have been an architect.

Max 15 people.

£12 per person payable in advance
