Battersea Society stall at the St. John’s Hill Festival

Sunday, 12 May was a beautiful day for the St. John’s Hill Festival and the Battersea Society were there for part of the day to meet some of our neighbours and talk about the Society. The atmosphere was very congenial — who doesn’t love a fine Sunday with a bit of diversion?

Enticement for the Maverick Bar Company

You could say there was something for everyone, with music, food and drink, wares on display, face painting and even a visit from Batman.

One of the youngest visitors to our stall directed his obliging parents from his little stroller — he was completely enthralled by the bee in the logo on our table banner. The bee turned out to be a talking point with several of those who stopped by. We met people of all ages, some who have been in the area for ages and some who are newly arrived; they were all interested in the way the Battersea Society helps them feel part of their neighbourhood.
