Jenny Thomas from the Battersea Society Events Committee will be hosting the Book Club meeting - and the book up for discussion is …Hillbilly Elegy by J D Vance – A memoir of a family and culture in crisis is this 2016 memoir by J D Vance about the Appalachian values of his family from Kentucky and the socioeconomic problems of his hometown of Middletown, Ohio, where his mother’s parents moved when they were young.  It was adapted into a film in 2020.
