Decision nears on Wandsworth's 'Twin Towers' proposal
NEWS UPDATE:Wednesday 3 December - Planning Committee passes plan by 9 votes to 2. More on this soon.
Those concerned about the Clapham Junction 'Twin Towers' development, may wish to go along to Wandsworth Town hall at 7.30pm on Wednesday 3 December when the council's Planning Committee will be discussing the application for the redevelopment of the Ram Brewery site. This scheme also proposes the building of two very tall residential towers (36 and 42 storeys respectively). The result of Wednesday's discussion may be an important pointer to the eventual outcome of the Clapham Junction proposals.
The Council's website has received around ninety objections in total, with the vast majority of those objecting to the towers. A group of members from the Wandsworth Society, which produced its own detailed objection to the scheme, will be attending and would welcome support from members of the Battersea Society, or other members of the public.
