Wandsworth Artists' Open House 2010

Examples of artists work

The eighth annual Wandsworth Artists’ Open House takes place on 2/3 and 9/10 October. The event, organised by the Wandsworth arts team - in conjunction with an artists’ steering committee - is a unique opportunity for professional and amateur artists to showcase and sell work from their home or studio. It also offers the public a glimpse of the artist’s working environment, and well as the chance to engage with them directly.

Wandsworth Artists’ Open House embraces a variety of mediums such as; craft, design, sculpture, painting, jewellery, photography, drawing, film and installation. Many visitors buy their first piece of original artwork at an Open House and return again year after year. Participating artists include the BP Travel award-winner Isobel Peachy, and established artists such as Margaret Knott and sculptor Gilbert Wyman.

The map of open houses, which is available online or in your local library, allows visitors to build their own trail, stopping off for a coffee or bite to eat along the way.
