The above photographs illustrate perfectly what we hope to achieve with our photo galleries. Battersea has a long and proud past, a vibrant present, and is looking forward to the future with growing confidence. The Battersea Society would like to record all those phases in pictures, and we hope that the photogalleries listed below are just the first of many such collections.

Battersea in Bloom
These pictures were all taken in May 2009. If you have a garden you'd like others to see then please send us a couple of photographs and we'll do our best to feature them in a new gallery which is currently being planned.

Battersea Pubs
Already some of the pubs in this gallery have had their names changed, and in at least one case will be closing down. Let us know if there are any we have missed.

The London Horse Harness Parade
For many years this was a regular fixture in Battersea Park each Easter Monday, attracting a large number of entries and large crowds of spectators. Sadly it moved outside London in 2006, but we hope that these pictures from 2004 provide a flavour of this popular event.

Battersea Boundary Posts
Thanks to Paul Burchell we now have photographs of a large selection of historic boundary posts from various parts of Battersea. If you can help fill in some gaps, please get in touch.

If you have photographs you'd like to contribute to one of these galleries, or would like to see a photo gallery featuring another aspect of Battersea life, then please get in touch by email.
